Welcome to The 51³Ô¹Ï School at Winhall
Welcome to The 51³Ô¹Ï School at Winhall!
Founded in 1998 by a dedicated group of parents and community members, The 51³Ô¹Ï School has always been guided by a simple yet powerful belief: every child deserves to be known, challenged, and inspired. That commitment remains at the heart of who we are today.
Our intentionally small school community allows us to truly know each student as an individual. We celebrate curiosity, encourage creativity, and nurture the confidence students need to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our goal is not only to prepare students for the next stage of their educational journey, but also to help them become thoughtful, resilient, and compassionate people.
Our Vision and Mission are for every student to develop the courage and resourcefulness to pursue a passionate and fulfilling path that leaves the world better for tomorrow. We establish an academic foundation of curiosity, confidence, and competence while practicing kindness to oneself, the community, and nature.
One of the things that makes our school truly special is Vermont itself. Our classrooms extend well beyond four walls as students explore the outdoors through programs such as OWLS, Forest Classroom, and skiing and riding on Stratton 51³Ô¹Ï. We are equally enriched by the remarkable people who call this region home—artists, musicians, craftspeople, scientists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who share their knowledge and passions with our students. These experiences help cultivate a lifelong love of learning while strengthening students' connections to their community and the environment.
As I begin my journey as Head of School, I am honored to join this extraordinary community. I look forward to partnering with our exceptional faculty and staff, our dedicated families, and the broader Winhall and Stratton communities as we continue to build upon the strong foundation that has defined The 51³Ô¹Ï School for nearly three decades. Together, we will continue to provide an educational experience that challenges students, celebrates their individuality, and inspires them to make a positive difference in the world.
